But the goal from Toone, right, was ruined for some fans due to the coverageReuters

But viewers were raging at the broadcaster due to Robin Cowen’s commentary being out of sync with the pictures.

One social media user said: “Have the BBC realised the commentary and sound is in front of the video?

“Ruined the Toone goal.”

While another added: “Annoying that the commentary is ahead of the visual. Goal was announced before we saw it!!!”

And a third replied: “This commentary being ahead of the pictures is really annoying.”

This is the second day in a row where fans have complained about BBC errors during the World Cup coverage.

Before the first semi-final between Spain and Sweden, the broadcaster used photos of ENGLAND players while showing the Spain line-up.

Viewers at home also moaned at the Beeb for the sound and picture quality once the crunch clash got underway in New Zealand.

But on the pitch, England supporters were happy going into half-time as Toone’s sublime strike handed Sarina Wiegman‘s side a 1-0 lead.

The Lionesses are looking to reach their first ever Women’s World Cup final.

If they beat Australia, they will meet fellow first-time finalists Spain in Sydney on Sunday.
