And supporters believe that it could be destiny after realising his incredible record on past Easter Sundays.

On the same holiday in 2022, the golfer won the RBC Heritage and in 2021, he was victorious at the Valero Texas Open.

And the final day of this year’s edition of the Masters fulls on the same day.

With his continued success on the holiday, it has got fans talking up his chances on social media.

One tweeted: “Jordan Spieth has won on Easter Sunday for the past two years straight, guess what falls on Easter Sunday this year.

“I’ll give you a hint, it’s the day the goat wears red in heaven on earth. Omen.”

A second commented: “Betfair ASAP.”

A third wrote: “Jordan Spieth and Easter. A winning combination.

A fourth said: “Jordan Spieth on Easter Sunday. Praise the lord.”

While a fifth added: “Allow me to be the absolute last person to point out that Jordan Spieth has won on Easter Sunday the last two years and the Masters ends on Easter Sunday.

“But y’all knew that already.”

Scottie Scheffler claimed the Green Jacket last year at 10-under par, with Rory Mcilroy finishing runner-up.

The 2023 Masters tournament will be held from this Thursday to Sunday.

Play is expected to get underway at 2pm UK time on the opening two days and at 4pm on the final two days.

It will take place at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia.
