FANS are convinced that Andy Murray has fired a sly dig at Novak Djokovic after the fuming Serb told the Davis Cup crowd to “shut up” this week.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion smashed Cameron Norrie 6-4 6-4 to secure a victory for his country in Thursday’s Davis Cup quarter-final tie in Malaga.

He silenced the 5,000 British fans in the arena, which included the drum-banging ‘Murraynators’, and even blew two KISSES to one rowdy supporter during the game.
Afterwards he accused fans of “trying to annoy him” as the angry Djokovic said: “We’re going to have a good sleep tonight, keep going, keep going. Learn how to respect players…No, you shut up. No, you be quiet.”
The legend then said later: “Disrespect, but again, that’s something I’m kind of have to be prepared for.
“You know, in the Davis Cup, it’s normal that sometimes fans step over the line, but, you know, in the heat of the moment, you react too, and you, in a way, how can I say, show that you don’t allow this kind of behaviour.”
But Murray, a three-time Grand Slam winner, posted on X a message of thanks to the rowdy crowd for their support.
The Scot wrote: “Tough one for the guys in Malaga last night @DavisCup. Huge thanks to all the fans who made the big effort to travel out there and create a brilliant atmosphere for the players.”

He then posted a thumbs down emoji at the end after the words: “The Davis cup without you = .”
Fans quickly jumped into the replies, with one saying: “I hope you also condemn the minority of the GB fans that were trying to disrupt Djokovic post match interview?
“I’ve had some GB fans contact me today to say how disappointed they were with those fans and that they didn’t represent the majority of the fans who were respectful.”
While another said: “You really dislike Djok don’t ya?”
Murray’s apparent dig comes after many believed he fired another jab at Djokovic on Instagram several weeks ago.
That was after a clip of the Serbian hitting Roger Federer directly with a shot at the 2014 Shanghai Masters was shared again on social media.
Murray replied: “Totally legitimate play. Great shot. However, when Rafa clocked him in Canada and Norrie in Rome he reacted like ‘how dare you?’”
That comment was hot on the heels of Djokovic accusing Norrie of “not playing fair” during the Italian Open this year when the Brit fired a ball into the tennis great.
Djokovic said: “Those are the things that we players know in the locker room it’s not fair play, it’s not how we treat each other.”
