AN EXTREMELY rare gold-plated toy car has sold at an auction for £2,200.
The miniature motor is a golden replica of the Citroen 2CV that appeared in the 1981 James Bond film For Your Eyes Only.

In the flick, Roger Moore’s 007 drives the French car while escaping with Melina Havelock from villain Hector Gonzales’s villa.
Just 12 examples of the model were produced by Corgi Toys to coincide with the film’s release, and their scarcity has made them a firm favourite among collectors.
According to Vectis Auctions, only a dozen gold cars were made and sent to retailers as a reward for shifting so many toys.
The original recipient, from the south of England, kept hold of his model for 43 years – but recently sold it for an eye-watering sum at an auction in Stockton-on-Tees, Teeside.
A Vectis Auctions spokesperson said: “This car was never sold to the public only being given to the top retailers at the time.
“It is a true collector’s item and is a valuable investment.”
Auction specialist Andrew Reed added: “There are millions of James Bond collectors in the world and only 12 of these toys so they are as rare as you can get.”
This comes just weeks after a rare miniature Jaguar toy car bought for just 50p at car boot sale set to fetch huge sum at auction.
Elsewhere, a Subaru rally car worth £10,00 has been rescued from a barn after being abandoned for seven years.
