Ex-Liverpool star Fabinho brutally trolled for ‘disgraceful’ tackle as fans say ‘could he give less of a toss?’

FABINHO’S attitude for Saudi club Al-Ittihad has been mocked after the ex-Liverpool midfielder’s “disgraceful” role in a rival’s “cheeky trick”.

After the ambling Brazilian was nutmegged by Al-Okhdood’s Leandre Tawamba, one fan blasted: “I don’t think giving less of a toss is possible.”

Some viewers have questioned Fabinho’s attitude for Al-IttihadGetty

Al-Ittihad still triumphed 1-0 through Karim Benzema‘s goal on 72 minutes and top the Saudi Pro League with five wins from six games.

But Fabinho, 29, was trolled after league chiefs posted a clip of “the cheekiest of tricks” – but which, if you were generous, was more like Tawamba’s moment of meandering magic.

The Cameroon striker, 33, remained in first gear as he received the ball in a harmless position and nicked the ball through the legs of a virtually-statuesque Fabinho.

One fan said of the painfully-slow exchange: “You can almost see him stood there calculating how much he earned in that moment.”

Another wrote: “Good to see Fab enjoying his retirement plan.”

A third claimed: “Looks like the last 10 minutes of 5 a side game and you’ve already started thinking what your getting from the chippy on the way home.”

Fabinho joined the Saudi champs in July for £425,000 a week until 2026.

And with that sort of money more than enough to live on holiday every day of the year, many supporters reckon the former Anfield workhorse is already relaxing.

One fan said of his mild mid-pitch meeting with Tawamba showed “Everyone is moving around like they are just chilling”.

And many opinions were similar to this: “Sunday League is a higher standard than this. Not even joking.”
