ERIK TEN HAG insists that Manchester United are doing “everything in their power” to sign a new striker.
The Red Devils still haven’t replaced Cristiano Ronaldo since the Portuguese’s acrimonious departure last season.

Wout Weghorst was brought in on loan in January, but managed just two goals in 31 appearances.
Man United are interested in Atalanta star Rasmus Hojlund, but have so far been left frustrated by the Serie A side’s £86million valuation.
Ten Hag, 53, remains bullish on United’s striker search.
Speaking from the Red Devils’ US Tour, the Dutchman vowed: “We will do everything that’s in our power to get the right man in.
“You never know in the transfer market, but we know our targets and we’ll do everything we can.
“We put every effort in to get this done because it’s an area where we need improvement.
“We proved also last season we can be very successful even though we didn’t have too many strikers.
“I expect more from the front players, a high level. They have to raise the bar and we expect more goals.”

United initially showed an interest in Harry Kane earlier this summer, but dropped their potential pursuit as they did not want to be drawn into a long transfer saga with Tottenham.
They have since turned their attention to Hojlund, but are at risk of having their swoop hijacked by Paris Saint-Germain.
The French giants, who have dramatically put star forward Kylian Mbappe up for sale, are looking to freshen up their forward line.
PSG have held talks with Hojlund’s representatives ahead of a potential move.
According to Fabrizio Romano, United will soon lodge an official bid in light of the Ligue 1 champions’ interest.
Hojlund, 20, shone for Atalanta last term.
The Dane scored 10 goals in 34 appearances for the Italians following his move from Austrian side Sturm Graz.
