The pair trotted around Cheshire before stopping for a spot of lunch as they enjoyed some time off together.

Sunday’s derby could prove crucial for 54-year-old Ten Hag with question marks over his long-term future prominent since the completion of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s £1.03bn takeover.

The British billionaire is taking over footballing operations at the club and rumours are swirling about potential replacements if things turn sour with Ten Hag.
Alongside his deep pockets Ratcliffe has brought optimism about the future to the Theatre of Dreams, but that could be a future without Ten Hag at the helm.
However the former Ajax gaffer has called for those growing frustrated with his management to look at the bigger picture.
Speaking after United’s disappointing loss to Fulham, he said: “After one defeat, you have to see the bigger picture and it looks very good.
“We have to catch up in certain positions, cut the injuries back, we will have more balance.
“Also strengthen the squad in the windows, you see there are many good players, real high potential players, so they will be getting better and better.
“We are definitely going in the right direction, when we have the squad available we have a very good team.”
