Speaking to BT Sport, Ten Hag bemoaned the club’s “crazy” schedule, lambasting the workload his players are under.
He said: “We have the most crazy schedule of all the Premier League teams, we have three games to cover in six days, which is not right, but we have to deal with it.
United are set to face Brighton in the FA Cup semi-final later this month.
While they will also have a tie against Europa League specialists Sevila to contend with, all the while trying to maintain their position in the Premier League’s top four.
He added: “We couldn’t expect to be in this situation when we started. We are in the top 4.
“We are in the quarter-finals of the Europa League. We are in the semi-finals of the FA Cup. We already have a trophy.”
Man Utd ended a three-game league run without a goal after Marcus Rashford smashed home a winner against Brentford at Old Trafford in midweek.
