Epsom Derby 2023 CONFIRMED runners and riders, stall numbers, earliest EVER start time, odds and tips

THE world’s most prestigious race, the Epsom Derby, roars back into action on Saturday.

The finest three-year-old colts in the world will thunder over the famous course at the earliest ever start time of 1.30pm.

It has all the makings of a classic – in name and stature.

Can Frankie Dettori secure victory in his final ever Derby? Will Ryan Moore win it again for genius Irish trainer Aidan O’Brien?

Will we see a huge-price outsider cause an upset or can Andrew Balding give Leicester’s owners something to cheer about (finally) and win it with The Foxes?

All that and more will be answered a couple minutes after 1.30pm.

But for now, let’s look at the rundown of the final field.

Sun Racing will bring you the draw as soon as it’s live.

Epsom Derby 2023 odds

This is arguably the most open Epsom Derby in recent years.

Auguste Rodin was the longtime ante-post favourite but drifted out on the back of his 2000 Guineas flop.

He has come in for support since then around the 3-1 mark, with Military Order around the same.

Passenger was cut into around 11-2 following his agonising Dante run where he just couldn’t find room.

While Dettori’s mount Arrest is 6-1.

We’ll bring you all the odds once bookies weigh up their liabilities after decs.

Templegate’s Epsom Derby 2023 tip

Our man will bring you his complete breakdown of the race and tip a little later today.

Till then, find out who he thinks wins the Epsom Oaks on Friday.

Epsom Derby prediction

Military Order is a brother to 2021 winner Adayar.

Already Military Order has won the races Adayar couldn’t – suggesting he could be ahead of his brother at the same stages in their careers.

His win round the tight and twisting Lingfield in the trial was mega impressive, especially as that track is the opposite of what suits him.

The Godolphin runners are big brutes, unflashy and Military Order looks to be sound, aware of what his job is.
