A HOLIDAY park in a popular UK seaside town has unveiled a brand new £350k expansion ahead of the summer months.
The winter is slowly starting to give way to warmer weather and Brits are once again thinking about where they would like to spend their summer holidays.

One place they might consider is Brean, near Burnham-on-Sea, where one holiday park has made some big upgrades before the busy months.
Sandy Glade holiday park has splashed out £350k on some new facilities for its guests, including a heated outdoor entertainment area, a new children’s playground and an outdoor bar.
There’s also a brand new 26-space car park to accommodate extra guests and members of the public, who can turn up to use the new additions.
After three months of work on the project, Sandy Glade is finally able to welcome visitors, having formally unveiled the changes.
John Steer-Fowler from John Fowler Holidays, who run the park, told Burnham-on-Sea.com: “We are delighted to be unveiling these new upgraded facilities in time for the start of the upcoming holiday season.
“The new heated outdoor entertainment area includes five 55-inch screens to show live events, such as music and this summer’s Euros.
“Plus a new children’s play area, food trading points, a new outdoor bar which will be open to the general public, and a new car park.”
Anyone keen to try out the new facilities can do so from £98 for a four night stay in a three-bedroom bronze caravan at the site.
Those caravans include central heating, gas fires, fridge freezers, flatscreen TVs, a microwave and pets are permitted to join their owners.
Meanwhile, this park also has a pool, where guests can enjoy activities like water zorbing, where they can run around on the water in a giant bubble, aqua jets that propel you around under the water and peddle boats.
All of those are included in the price of a stay for visitors.
Additionally, the park hosts themed nights, with select themed cabaret acts performing select hits to fit the mood of the night.
Included in that are 70s nights, 80s nights, soul, country, rock and roll, ska, motown and others.
There are also murder mystery events and celebrations for events like Oktoberfest.
The park is hosting a packed half-term programme too, with Foxy Club kids activities taking place throughout next week’s break, as well as lots of evening entertainment.
The park has hundreds of five star reviews on TripAdvisor, with plenty praising the resort and its location.
One wrote: “Lovely site barely 5 minutes walk from the beach, caravans and chalets are very comfortable for the price, and the staff are wonderfully friendly.”
Another said: “Sandy Glade Holiday Park honestly gave myself and my friends memories we’re not forgetting anytime soon and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone.”
A third added: “We found the location, facilities and cost to be amazing. We will definitely be going back.”
One of the main attractions nearby to Sandy Glade is Brean theme park, which is full of classic funfair rides, like the wild water log flume, go karts and the terror castle.
The lesser known resort’s best-loved ride is probably the Bulldog Coaster, formerly known as the Crazy Loop, which is back again for this year.
Brean’s fair is one of many UK seaside theme parks, which can be found dotted all around the country’s coast.
Fantasy Island, Ingoldmells
Near to Skegness, Fantasy Island welcomes thrill-seekers and families every year to go on its much-loved rides.
This year it will be launching a brand new attraction for visitors in the shape of a “Spinning Mouse XXL” coaster.
The ride is currently being constructed and is expected to be there when it opens this summer.
Adventure Island, Southend-on-Sea
Further down the east coast is Southend, where holidaymakers head to Adventure Island during the warm summer months.
In a previous list of the country’s best amusement parks, it came in third place, beating some of the more famous parks like Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and Alton Towers, which were fifth and 10th in the list.
The rankings were produced as part of the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards, meaning its position was based on public opinions.
It’s described on TripAdvisor as is the U.K’s No.1 free admission fun park, with guests able to turn up and pay only for what they want to ride.
Meanwhile, this “weird and wonderful” theme park in Europe is considered one of the best and Walt Disney even tried to buy it.
And two new rollercoasters are being built at this indoor attraction elsewhere in Europe.
