MILLIONS of Brits are set to face energy bill rises in the new year in another blow to struggling families.
The energy regulator Ofgem has confirmed the new price cap, which will see millions face a £94 rise in bills, will come into effect on January 1.
The cap will rise from £1,834, the lowest figure since March 2022, to £1,928 a year at a time when many households are under financial pressure.
Several energy suppliers have confirmed they will offer support to customers worth up to £1,500, including British Gas, Scottish Power, E.On and Ovo.
