MANCHESTER CITY star Ederson is using a bizarre yet innovative way to improve his performances.
The goalkeeper was crucial in helping Pep Guardiola’s side win the Treble last season and he is constantly looking for new ways to get better.

With Man City and his national side Brazil normally on the attack for much of the game, Ederson risks losing concentration despite knowing that he could be called upon to make a save at any moment.
Therefore, he is using virtual reality glasses to help with cognitive work as he tries to improve his attention, reaction and vision.
The 30-year-old stopper has employed Volt Sports Science to create VR exercises for him.
Volt chief Tulio Horta said: “The main focus of cognitive work is to stimulate Ederson’s brain so that he has more capacity for attention and perception of the space he is in.
“This is so that he understands different information and has better control over impulsivity, being able to make better decisions in the game.”
Ederson trains using virtual reality twice a week away from City and Brazil settings.
VR exercises are sometimes done between sets of strength workouts.
This is to condition the brain not to relax and to stay switched on after an action like making a save.

Ederson told Globo: “It’s difficult to reach that level of staying focused for 90 minutes.
“Cognitive work helps me concentrate. It’s been helping me a lot.”
Ederson has played 11 matches this season and kept three clean sheets.
Overall, he has made 300 City appearances and avoided conceding 142 times.
