Injury and fitness issues have plagued the Belgian in recent years, leaving him with no option but to retire.
Some fans thought Hazard might become a coach or a manager after he dropped a hint saying: “Now is the time to enjoy my loved ones and have new experiences. See you off the field soon my friends.”
However his brother Thorgan, 30, who he played with at Chelsea and for Belgium, has dispelled those hopes.
He told The Mirror: “He is mentally and physically not capable of doing that.
“And we won’t see him in the dugout as a manager, either. He just wants to spend time with his family.”
Hazard reportedly received offers from six different clubs to continue playing.
West Ham are believed to have offered the winger a trial at the club with coach Kevin Nolan a big fan of the former Real Madrid star.
He said of Hazard: “I’d have the Hazard of Chelsea at West Ham, yeah.

“I’m sure if he wanted to come and trial we’d, I mean, I’d certainly be willing to. I don’t know about the gaffer [David Moyes]. But I’d certainly want to trial him!”
But he is set to return to the pitch soon when he takes part in the Varietes Club de France charity match on October 18 at the Stade de L’Epopee in Calais.
