Hall and Hooper will meet in the cage in Qatar for a promotion called Finishers Championship.

Text on the promotion’s website reads: “Get ready for the fight event you’ve been waiting for. Launching 2024.

“Top MMA fighters settling the score on unfinished business. 12 match eliminator. $300 million USD prize money. Celebrities. Royalty.”

Hall confirmed Hooper as his opponent with a cryptic Instagram post as he asked his fans “who you got?”

The post featured snaps and clips of the pair brawling on the mat, with Hall throwing punches and fighting off a submission during a grappling exchange.

It will be Hall’s second venture into combat sports since retiring from strongman events in 2017.

He lost a unanimous decision to fellow former strongman Hafthor Bjornsson in March last year.

Hall was crowned World’s Strongest Man in 2017, becoming the first British winner for 24 years.
