From extra legroom to the best Instagram-worthy spot, we reveal the top tips for choosing the right seat for you.
Getting off the plane first
Those holidaymakers who are itching to explore, or just desperate to get home, will want to beat the queues by booking a seat in the front five rows.
To get off the plane even quicker, book an aisle seat, because you can simply spring into the aisle when the plane has come to a complete halt.
On most easyJet flights passengers will also be able to disembark at the back of the aircraft – although this is dependent on the airport and isn’t guaranteed.
If you’re in a rush, or just desperate to get off the plane, it’s best to book a seat at the front of the plane.
Extra Legroom
The affordable airline isn’t known for its spacious seats, but it does have three rows with extra legroom seats.
These seats can be found at the front of the plane in the first row, with all six seats, including A, B, C, D, E, and F providing passengers with a little more leg space.
Meanwhile, the two other rows with extra legroom are in the emergency exit rows in the middle of the plane.
The airline also says passengers who reserve a seat in either row 12 and 13, will have more legroom.
Head start on snacks
While some people prefer to eat in the departure lounge, others like nothing more than tucking into an in-flight meal.
If you want to be among one of the first passengers to be served tea or coffee, then it’s best to book a seat in either the first two rows or in row 30 at the back of the plane.
With trolley carts circulating from both the front and the back of the aircraft, these seats will make sure you get served.
Best photos
Did you even board a plane, if you didn’t take a photo of your cloudy view or the plane’s wing?
In order to stare out the plane’s window, while taking photos of the glorious blue sky, it’s best to book a window seat.
If you are looking to take pictures during the flight, you should be booking a window seat that’s located between rows 12 and 15.
This is because you will be able to capture the wing of the plane in those seats.
Take a nap
Once you’ve eaten your snack, and taken a photo for your social media pages, you might be inclined to get some shut-eye.
Window seats give passengers the best chance to have an uninterrupted snooze.
This is because other passengers won’t be able to disturb you by asking you to move out of your seat.
According to SeatGuru, on easyJet’s A319 aircrafts, none of the seats, except for those in the first row, recline.
Meanwhile on the older planes, all of the plane seats recline, so it’s worth noting the aircraft you’re flying with before booking a seat.
Seats to avoid
While it may seem like seats at the front and the back of the plane are the best ones to book, they do have their downsides.
For example, passengers sitting in seats A, B, and C on the first row, and in row 30 at the back of the plane, may find their trip slightly irritating as passengers queue for the nearby toilets.
These seats may also fall foul of any bad odours that might be emanating from the toilet cubicles.
What’s the damage?
Prices for seats in the front row start from £12.99, while other seats like those over the plane’s wings cost £7.99 per person.
If you don’t want to fork out for a specific seat, you can still opt to have your seat randomly allocated for free.
