EasyJet passengers left fuming after being told their luggage is too big to board

AN EASYJET passenger has claimed that he was not allowed to board his flight after getting into an argument over the size of his luggage.

The man shared a video of himself having an argument with an airline staff member over his bag.

Siavash (@siavashmdesign) was due to travel from Paris to Berlin, but claimed the airline “didn’t let” him and his wife depart following the argument.

In a series of angry tweets, the traveller said that he and his wife had been accused of being disrespectful and that he had previously flown the same route with the same luggage with no problems.

He wrote: “How rude and terrible @easyJet is!

“Unbelievable, a girl didn’t let us depart while two of their colleagues accepted and our luggage fit!

“The same flight and luggage we had before. She said we are rude and didn’t respect her!

“They didn’t let us in and even didn’t gave us any reason and feedback just because she said my wife didn’t respect her!

“The manager told us google the support of the #easyjet and said ‘we are not responsible to explain you anything! We don’t lose anything, you are losing your flight’!

“Who is responsible for this mess and rude behaviour of easyJet!”

Sun Online Travel has contacted easyJet for comment regarding the incident.

EasyJet passengers can no longer take a suitcase into the cabin for free.

Instead, standard passengers can only take a small cabin bag which fits underneath the seat in front, measuring 45cm x 36cm x 20cm, and this must include the handles and wheels.

A small cabin bag can weigh a maximum of 15kg, but passengers need to be able to lift and carry it themselves.

It is worth noting that passengers whose suitcases do not fit the rules will be charged £24 at the airport.

Those who pay for Flexi tickets, Up Front tickets or Extra Legroom tickets can bring a suitcase into the cabin as well, measuring 56cm x 45cm x 25cm.

Passengers can also pay to add a large cabin bag to their booking.

Others have had difficulties with easyJet’s hand luggage rules, with one frustrated man leaving people in stitches as he tried to force his bag into the size checker.

The man went to great trouble to avoid having to pay for checked-in baggage and was determined to show that his bag was the right size for the cabin.

He was so intent on making the bag fit, that he kicked and shoved it into the metal frame to make sure he was permitted to take it on board.

Meanwhile, this passenger was charged £84 for their oversized hand luggage.

And this person revealed the perfect bag to use when flying with hand luggage.
