EASTENDERS legend Jake Wood has tipped that there could be a potential return for Max Branning on the cards.
The star has been a long-running face in Albert Square after debuting in the show in 2006 but finally departed at the beginning of this year.

But ever since loyal fans of the show have been kept guessing as to whether Jake will be back on the show as bad boy Max.
Speaking in Worcester, as he swapped acting for opening a local bingo hall, Jake said: “I’ve got no plans to at the moment, but you never say never.
“They’ve kept the door open for me – apparently I’ve got a little baby I’ve not seen yet. You never know.”
Max’s last major storyline saw him get involved with Linda Carter which resulted in a violent face-off with her husband Mick.
Max fathered a child with Linda who he is still yet to meet.
Fans have rejoiced at the idea of a potential on-screen return of Max but have expressed concerns over a potential future between him and Linda.
One fan said: “I have always loved Max, he’s a rough diamond but always with a heart of gold.
“I was gutted when he left the show but the prospect of him coming back is just amazing. I think it’d make unmissable telly.”
A second begged for his return, writing: “Please please bring Max back, he was such a good character.
“I don’t think he’d hint at coming back if he didn’t plan too. Can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for him.”
Many of Max’s family members have moved away and made lives for themselves away from the square however his on-screen daughter Lauren is due to return next week for a heartbreaking reason.
Lauren, played by Jacqueline Jossa, is back in Walford from New Zealand to attend Dot Cotton’s funeral.
