But they also have a website where drivers can check which petrol station has the lowest prices.

The TikTok user said: “I have just found the biggest hack for saving money on petrol.

“I can’t believe I didn’t know about this app before. It’s honestly been life-changing.

“So this app is called PetrolPrices and it tells you the petrol prices of petrol stations around you.

“And compares it in numerical chronological order.

“There’s even an option to find the cheapest or nearest stations on the maps.

“There have been so many times when I need a cheap petrol station, but I have ended up going to Esso or Shell.

“And spent God knows how much money on petrol.

“Especially in these times when petrol is so high. This has been a game changer.”

All you have to do is search by postcode, town or city and filter for any individual brands, fuel types and sort so the cheapest ones appear first.

Self-described as the “Tripadvisor for petrol stations”, you can also review stations and even get rewards for helping others.

According to the firm, an average member saves around £200 a year on petrol and diesel.

Users were quick to comment.

One said: “I Had this app for a while and it’s the best.”

Another user commented: “Thank you so much, so helpful!”

A third pointed out: “I downloaded this app the day I passed my test. It’s a lifesaver.”
