MOTORISTS have spotted a major flaw with a ‘hidden’ boot button after a car whizz was singing its praises.
An online car reviewer known on TikTok as “jlgolson” initially went online to show off the feature to his social media followers.

In a short clip titled “I love this feature! Close the trunk and lock the car with one button” Jordan showed how it worked.
At the beginning Jordan says: “My car this week is the BMW 540i and here’s one of my favourite features.”
With the footage showing the back of white BMW.
The film then cuts to car’s boot wide open as the caption reads: “I love this button on the BMW 540i.”
Jordan then says: “When you’ve used the trunk and are all ready to go, there are these two buttons up here…” as the camera zooms in to the top right of the inside of the boot.
He explains: “The left one closes it but the right one closes it and locks it so you can just walk away.”
Jordan then presses the right button and it does exactly that.
However, most of the dozen or so commentators weren’t really impressed.
One person highlighted one potential problem, writing: “And you have locked your keys inside…”
While another pointed out that the feature was hardly new, saying: “Many cars have that feature.”
A third added: “And it takes 10 times long to close than before. Progress?”
