DRIVERS are only just realising how they can reverse into a parking bay perfectly each time, thanks to an expert’s foolproof hack.
The experts at the TikTok page “The Complete Theory Test Kit” revealed the little-known hack in a short video on the social media site.

As the driver reveals, motorists should be able to perform the manoeuvre the first time, every time although if you don’t, not to worry as you can always “readjust”.
The footage then shows the man putting the car into position for the demonstration.
Then, as many would expect, reverse gear is selected, giving any drivers behind you a warning of what you are about to do when the lights come on.
For safety, you then need to check all around and at the back to make sure it is safe to proceed.
The handy hack though that motorists need to know about is that the driver in the clip has used green stickers on the doors to use a reference points.
These need to be level with the white lines of the bay on the road.
Once the car is in the right spot, check all around once again to make sure it is safe.
As long as it is safe, as soon as you start reversing, steer all the way to the left.
Remember to check any blind spots and continue, still with the full lock on.
As you continue to reverse, check your mirrors to make sure you are heading inside the bay.
Once the vehicle is straight, take the full lock off and continue reversing, checking all around.
When you are nearly in place, check the back and side windows to make sure you are not too close to the kerb.
The reference point, then lines up with curb coming into view.
You should now be perfectly in the centre of the bay with the car parked up.
The clip has been a big hit with the page’s followers and has notched up some 18,700 times and nearly 100 comments.
Many commentators pitched in with their own handy tips.
One person wrote: “I use the passenger door opener as reference.”
Another one added: “Pupil should find own reference points as their sitting position and body is different than others.”
A third commentator said: “I use my shoulder and line it with the middle of a bay and then turn the wheel right around and park, works every time.”
There were a few dissenting voices though, with one saying: “This is so silly, you’re teaching students to rely on stickers. Driving is so much more than passing a test. What happens when stickers aren’t available?”
The TikToker though replied: “This is a learning technique for learners. Many have little to no experience, so this can really help. Think of them as training wheels on a bike.”
