A CAR whizz has revealed a hidden feature on your car key that could help keep you safe.
The motors expert shared the handy hack in a clip posted on TikTok.

She explained that the little-known trick triggers a potentially important safety feature in many modern cars.
All you have to do is press and hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for five seconds.
This switches on a setting that locks all of the doors except the front door on the driver’s side.
Once you’ve done that, when you press the unlock button upon returning to the car, only the driver-side door will open.
The expert said: “Girls who often drive alone be sure to set this function.
“Simultaneously press the lock button and unlock button on the key and hold for five seconds.”
In the same clip, she revealed a number of other car key hacks to viewers.
These included how to start the car when your key fob goes dead and how to close a window you forgot to roll up before getting out.
