A DRIVER has slammed hybrid cars in a row over electric vehicle charging – but not everyone agrees.
The TikTok user, who goes by the name Dollard, posted a clip of the cars, which combine an internal combustion engine with power from an electric motor, taking up charging bays reserved for EVs.

Dollard fumed: “Seriously can you people please stop charging your stupid petrol vehicles and actually have electric vehicles?
“This is starting to really p*** me off.”
He even made a second video where he returned the next day, only to find another hybrid taking up the space.
This left him even more enraged, as the hybrid driver wasn’t even charging their car.
Instead, they had just nabbed the spot as if it were a standard parking bay.
However, social media users were left disagreeing with his angry response.
One wrote: “Well, it’s not a petrol but a hybrid so they have every right to park.”
Another added: “It’s a plug-in hybrid so they’re entitled to use these charging points. what’s your issue?”
Under current road laws, hybrid cars are just as entitled to use charging points as fully electric models.
That being said, you are not allowed to take up an EV-reserved charging space simply to park there.
Doing so could see you slapped with a fine of up to £100.
It comes after one couple’s EV road trip turned into a disaster after they ran out of power and had to be towed 37 miles.
Meanwhile, a motors expert advised people against buying EVs, claiming that drivers hate them.
