Dortmund draw up secret Jadon Sancho transfer plan as fallen England star ‘does not want Man Utd return under Ten Hag’

BORUSSIA DORTMUND have drawn up a plan to keep Jadon Sancho next season, according to reports.

The on-loan Manchester United winger scored his first goal since returning to the Bundesliga at the weekend.

Dortmund want to retain Sancho’s services for next season, but his £350,000 a week salary could prohibit a permanent transfer.

According to Bild, the German side want to sign the 23-year-old on loan again next season.

They feel that any loan fee and portion of wages paid demanded by Man Utd could be offset by selling forward Donyell Malen.

Dortmund also feel that Sancho’s determination at stay at Signal Iduna Park could work in their favour.

Bild’s report claims that the England international has been “addicted” to Dortmund since returning.

They add that Sancho does not want to return to Man Utd while Erik ten Hag is manager, and that he blames the Dutchman for the downturn of his career.

Sancho featured 41 times last term under Ten Hag, scoring seven goals and laying on three assists.

Following three substitute appearances back in August the wide forward was exiled by the Dutchman after refuting his manager’s claim that he had not trained well enough to be included for a match against Arsenal.

Sancho was subsequently banished from the first team, even being banned from the first team canteen.

Since re-joining Dortmund he has made eight appearances in the Bundesliga.

He has laid on two assists, and grabbed his first goal back at Werder Bremen on Saturday.

Sancho will still have two years remaining on his Man Utd contract come the end of the season.

After the game Dortmund boss Edin Terzic said of Sancho: “In the last few days and weeks, I’ve gotten many, many questions about why he isn’t where he was yet.

“For us, it makes complete sense if you take into account what his last 12 months looked like, and yet last week he was very dissatisfied and there was a long conversation.

“After the game, he was dissatisfied because he said he lost the ball too many times, especially in the second half, and that’s what I like about him.

“He is not just focusing on his goal but taking in the entire performance.

“Even though he hadn’t scored in the last few weeks, we’ve seen that he’s well on his way there.

“We know he’s not 100 per cent yet but we’ll get him there.”
