Origi could already be saying farewell to the City Ground after failing to find the back of the net in the Premier League this term.

According to Gianluca Dimarzio, the Rossoneri’s are said to have received interest from MLS clubs for the 28-year-old.

Ahead of the upcoming MLS season which is set to begin February 22, Los Angeles FC, FC Dallas and Cincinnati are keen on the Belgian international, the report claims.

In August Origi returned to the English top flight after 13 months away in the Serie A.

The former Lille star was set to play for the East Midlands side for the 2023-24 season with the option for Forest to buy the striker at the end of the term.

When former boss Steve Cooper brought Origi to the club he had hoped for the star to bring his goal-scoring prowess to his side.

However, with not a single goal in his nine appearances, the Belgian has fallen out of favour with the head coach Nuno Espirito Santo as the club sits 15th in the table.

The former Liverpool star spent eight years at Anfield before being allowed to leave the club in the summer 2022 transfer window.

He was a cult hero at the Reds with a habit of scoring important goals.

Origi most notably scored twice, including the winning goal, in the 2019 Champions League semi-final in a comeback against Barcelona.

He was also a part of the squad that won the 2019–20 Premier League the following season, Liverpool’s first league title in 30 years.
