DAVID MOYES has been offered a new West Ham contract but will wait until the end of the season to decide his future, he has revealed.
The Scot’s existing deal at the London Stadium expires in the summer.
David Moyes has claimed he has received a new contract offerPA
And there has been much speculation about him potentially leaving the club after a disappointing run of results.
But Moyes has now confirmed he has been handed an extension by the owners should he choose to accept.
He said: “I’ve had really good conversations with the owners, with David Sullivan and Karren Brady.
“There’s a contract there for me and I’m the one deciding I want to wait until the end of the season.”
West Ham have not won any of their last eight games in all competitions.
They have dropped to ninth place in the Premier League and are just one point from slipping into the bottom half of the table.
But they have qualified for the Europa League last 16 and will face Freiburg – who they beat twice in the group stage – for a place in the quarter finals.
A “Moyes Out” banner was visible among the West Ham fans during their 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
But the club have enjoyed huge success under the Scottish head coach since he returned to the club in December 2019.
The highlight came at the end of last season when they won the Europa Conference League.
They finished sixth and seventh in successive Premier League campaigns.
In 2022, they also reached the semi-finals of the Europa League.
