Cost of Living payment latest: More than 300 postcodes now qualify for £25 cold weather payment – are you included?

MORE than 300 postcodes can now get their hands on the government’s cold weather payment to help during the cost of living crisis as freezing temperatures strike.

Temperatures across the UK have been dropping and now health officials have advised people to keep their homes heated to “at least 18°C”.

The Department for Work and Pensions hands out a £25 cold weather payment to certain households struggling to pay their energy bills.

The scheme is designed to help people on low incomes with their energy bills when the temperature gets very low.

And it has now been revealed that more than 300 postcodes can get their hands on the cash, from places such as Cumbria, North East and North West England, West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Birmingham, Coventry, Staffordshire and Brecon.
