Welterweight title contender Belal Muhammad insists he won’t let McGregor skip the line if he gets the beltGETTY

McGregor, 35, has already set his sights on an unprecedented crack at the welterweight title – which is currently around the waist of Brit Leon Edwards.

But Belal Muhammad – who will bid to dethrone Edwards at UFC 300 on April 13 – has vowed not to let that happen, insisting the undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov will be next in the line for a title shot.

During a recent episode of his ‘Remember The Show’ podcast, the American-Palestinian said: “Bully doesn’t let nobody skip the line.

“Shavkat will get next. We’re here to make a legacy, we’re breaking all these dudes.”

Former two-division champion McGregor recently claimed his comeback clash with Chandler will take place at middleweight.

But Muhammad, like many others, isn’t buying what the Irishman is selling, saying: “Conor, you know, he’s king troll.

“He knows that he’s in charge right now, so whatever he says will go.

“But for a fighter in general, like, you never want to be that heavy.

“Like if, for me, it’s like, alright, let’s fight at my walk around weight is 190, 185.

“But it’s like I’m- it’s gonna make me not want to run, it’s gonna make me not want to eat right, so I could just be sloppy, never go into a fight sloppy.”

McGregor hasn’t set foot inside the octagon since breaking his left leg in his Las Vegas trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier over two-and-a-half years ago.

But the Dubliner recently claimed his comeback clash with Chandler will headline International Fight Week on June 29.

Taking to social media on New Year’s Eve, he said: “Ladies and gentlemen, a happy new year to you all.

“I’d like to announce the return date for myself, The Notorious Conor McGregor for the greatest comeback of all time will take place in Las Vegas for International Fight Week on June the 29th.

“Come a little closer… and the opponent is Michael Chandler.

“And the weight, Mr Chandler 185 pounds.”
