CONOR MCGREGOR burst into a fit of rage after his team-mate’s Ultimate Fighter defeat – SHOVING Michael Chandler in the face.

McGregor‘s SBG Ireland team-mate Hammond dominated the contest until he was caught with a Hail Mary guillotine in the closing stages of the second round.

MMA mogul McGregor was heartbroken for his long-time training partner, dropping to his knees and putting his head in his hands.

And he blew a gasket after Chandler taunted and berated him for not being present for every stage of the show.

The former three-time Bellator lightweight champion said: “Stacking them up, baby. Maybe if you showed up for them.”

An irate McGregor said: “I’ll show up and break your nose, you little fool, you little Bellator tick,’ McGregor said. ‘You won’t do nothing.”

Chandler replied: “I can’t f***ing wait.”

McGregor, 34, then put both his hands in Chandler’s face and pushed him away before Cian Cowley and Ryan Bader broke things up.

Former two-division champion McGregor then took off his jacket, which prompted Chandler to ask: “Are we going to do this, are we going to fight right now?”

UFC president Dana White ran from his cageside seat next to Hunter Campbell to further diffuse the situation.

McGregor and Chandler were due to throw down following the airing of the final episode of TUF in August.

But their showdown is seemingly on course to take place NEXT YEAR as McGregor has yet to re-enter the United States Anti-Doping Agency’s testing pool.

McGregor must be enrolled in the pool for a minimum of six months before he’s eligible to compete.

The UFC could, however, pave the way for their poster boy to make a swifter return by waiving the six-month testing pool requirement.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his fighting future, McGregor insists he’s preparing to return to the octagon.

On Tuesday morning, he tweeted: “I look forward to my upcoming fight. I am well in preparation.”

Fan favourite McGregor hasn’t graced the octagon since breaking his leg in his Sin City trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier two years ago.

His comeback clash with Chandler was expected to land on the UFC’s final pay-per-view card of the year on December 16.

But the Irishman recently missed the deadline to get back in the USADA pool in time to make an end-of-year return.
