Conor McGregor looks unrecognisable in throwback clip of UFC star performing motion capture for Call of Duty video game

This included Conor McGregor, who wore a motion capture suit and dots, while wearing a cap with a camera mounted on the front, filming the Irishman’s facial performance.

The filming also involved him wielding a fake, light-coloured gun, coloured as such to allow for accurately recreated lighting and interaction.

A video of the process was shared to Instagram by ‘raindermma’ and shared to McGregor’s IG Story by the former UFC champion himself.

In the comments, fans expressed shock at the transformation.

The 34-year-old’s involvement in the Call of Duty series is but one of a number of extracurricular activities his fame in the fight game has afforded him.

The most significant one coming up is his film debut alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in Road House.

Although the two worlds in which he occupies have crossed over.

One of the settings for the film is a UFC weigh-in, with the UFC 285 stage converted to UFC 222, which took place back in 2018.
