But McGregor, 34, appeared unfazed by “Mystic Mike’s” second-round KO prediction, as he responded with a laughing emoji on Twitter.
He has been out of action since July 2021, when he broke his leg in his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier, 34.
And Chandler, 36, was most recently beaten in a New York thriller at Madison Square Garden by Poirier.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the pair will coach against each other on the next series of The Ultimate Fighter.
The reality show sees contenders live, train and fight together to win a UFC contract.
Season finalists then meet in a finale, while the star coaches also headline against each other.
McGregor made a name for himself in his early UFC days by perfectly predicting his wins, living up to his self-proclaimed Mystic Mac nickname.
But Chandler has attempted to flip the script as he broke down how he believes the bout will play out.

He told ESPN: “If he lands one on the button, it’s going to be a rough night for me.
“If I land one on the button, it’s going to be a rough night for him, but which one of us can do it?
“I’m going to get in his face, make him take a backwards step right away.
“He’s going to feel my presence from the very beginning of the fight and then from there wherever the fight takes us.
“If I want to pick him up and put him down, I can pick him up and put him down and put a beating on him and get a submission that way.
“I believe I finish Conor in the second round. That’s my “Mystic Mike” take on this, later on this year whenever it is.”
