CONOR MCGREGOR has set his sights on a trilogy fight with Nate Diaz – in Dana White’s Power Slap League.
McGregor and Diaz, 34 and 37 respectively, took part in two of the most memorable fights in recent UFC history in 2016 – with the score in their series level at one win apiece.

A series decider has yet to materialise – much to the frustration of many fight fans.
But McGregor has joked he wants to settle the score once and for all with the youngest Diaz brother with a series of slaps.
He said: “This power slap championships is growing on me. Who doesn’t like watching good quality clatters hahaha.”
The UFC’s poster boy added: “Me vs Nate on it for the title hahahaha.
“Maybe that’s a title you’d have a better chance of coming close to winning Nate you little slapper hahahaha.”
UFC president Dana White set up his Power Slap League earlier this year after seeing the success of the sport abroad and on social media.
Combatants stand in front of one another at a table and take turns slapping one another until they’re knocked out.
The sport and its ruleset intrigue McGregor, who asked: “Is it a flip of a coin who gets to go first?

“How long do they have to recover before they get to throw their counter?
“Or is it over if they’re KO’d? Fascinating. I’m attending one of these 100%.
“Is this Dana’s? Wtf is this madness Dana hahaha. I’m in.”
McGregor, 34, hasn’t set foot inside the octagon since breaking his leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier last July.
But he’s eyeing a return to action early next year, saying: “I’m going to be back soon, hopefully.
“Early 2023 I’m aiming for. Sometime in that first quarter.
“That will give me a good couple of months [to prepare].
“Once I wrap this up in a couple of days, get the camp going [for] a good couple of months. And get going.”

Diaz, meanwhile, last fought in September at UFC 279 against fellow MMA vet Tony Ferguson – who he submitted before walking away from the promotion.
The Stockton slugger is expected to enter the boxing world but hasn’t shut the door on a future return to the octagon.
