Conor McGregor beat & threatened to drown me on his yacht before I jumped off, says woman accusing UFC star of assault

A WOMAN accusing Conor McGregor of assault has claimed he punched, kicked and threatened to drown her on his yacht – before she leapt off fearing for her life.

The woman claimed to have suffered bruising after the alleged incident on the 34-year-old MMA star’s superyacht in Ibiza.

The alleged attack came as he celebrated his birthday on luxury yacht

The apparent clash happened the morning after UFC star McGregor held a party for his 34th birthday in July 2022.

The woman first made a formal complaint about McGregor to cops in Dublin after returning to Ireland.

Spanish police also began investigating the alleged incident but the case was shelved as the victim did not make a full statement on the island of Formentera.

But it has now re-opened in Spain at the request of the woman’s lawyers.

At the same time it has been widely reported in Spain that she told Irish police McGregor suddenly became violent, kicking and punching her before threatening to drown her.

“First he kicked her under the belly button and then punched her in the chin before coming at her and threatening to drown her,” Periodico de Ibiza quotes her as telling Irish police.

“It was as if he was possessed. I knew I had to leave the boat because I thought he was going to kill me.

“We have common friends and I have met him on a number on occasions. I can’t believe what he did to me.

“He’s a criminal. I think he would have killed me if I hadn’t left the yacht.”

The woman said she then jumped into the water to escape and was rescued by a passing boat.

Periodico de Ibiza reported that in her statement to the Irish police she attributed her initial unwillingness to press charges in Spain to a state of shock.

She was wearing just her bikini when she went into the water and had no money or phone and just wanted to get back to her hotel as soon as possible.

“They left me stranded,” she reportedly told the Irish police in a statement.

“They wouldn’t even abandon a dog the way they did me.”

The unnamed woman is understood to have facilitated the telephone numbers of possible witnesses.

A court in Ibiza has confirmed it has opened an investigation into the incident, which took place off the island of Formentera.

Guardia Civil initially “ruled out that the perpetrator was McGregor himself or that he was even involved in the incident” when allegations first emerged in August.

The UFC fighter has not yet been charged with any crime, as is normal in Spain.

Charges are only laid shortly before trial after lengthy investigations that always take place behind closed doors.

McGregor’s two yachts – a £2.7 million Lamborghini Tecnomar 63 and £3 million triple-deck 150-ft Prestige 750 which boasts an inflatable water slide and a climbing wall – hosted the parties.

The former UFC champ was joined for his birthday celebrations by a group of friends.

He treated guests to cocktails made using his Proper 12 whiskey, while a huge cake with his name on it was also displayed.

The woman has been described in Ibiza press reports as someone who knew McGregor before he was famous because they grew up in the same neighbourhood.

She is understood to have received an invite to party on board McGregor’s yacht after meeting him at a beach club earlier the same night where she had gone with a Hungarian couple.

According to the latest reports the unnamed couple may also now be questioned about the alleged incident.

McGregor’s spokesperson Karen Kessler said: “Over 6 months ago an incident was alleged and after a police review, the matter was not pursued.

“Mr. McGregor is steadfast in his denial of all the accusations made by a guest on his boat.”
