There’s also a later 2007 RUF RK Coupe which is based on a the more modern Porsche Cayman.

The BTR2 could sell for as much as £300,000, while similar versions of the Turbo R have sold with Gooding & Co. in the past for between £500,000 and £1.7million.

Which classic car prices on the up, the rarity of these RUF models should ensure the collection goes for millions once the hammer falls.

It’s thought only 10 BTR2s were ever made and just 15 of the Turbo R.

Only two RK Coupes were made, but one is a prototype, meaning the one for sale is the only production car.

Meanwhile, the Turbo R Convertible is the only open-top Turbo R in existence, which should get the bidding going.

The cars are available separately and the auction will take place at Amelia Island in Florida in March 2023.
