MCDONALD’S is giving its menu a shakeup this week and fans are gutted their favourites are being axed.
The fast-food chain is dropping nine items from its UK offering from Wednesday.
McDonald’sFans have been crying out to ask Maccies to keep the Philly Cheese Stack on menus[/caption]
It comes as part of McDonald’s regular menu switch-up which often sees a host of new snacks and meals added.
But what goes on must come off, the latest additions will usually only stick around for six weeks.
Among the items which will be making an exit on Wednesday is the Philly Cheese Stack burger.
It was new to the Maccies menu in October as part of the Halloween range and was a hit from the beginning.
The Philly Cheese Stack provides a very cheesy experience with two beef patties topped with a cheese sauce, two cheese slices, grilled and crispy onions and pickles and served in a toasted bun.
The burger was only ever meant to stick around for a set period until November 22.
Now fans are crying out for the chain to make it permanent and saying their “whole festive season” is going to be ruined.
They wrote: “If McDonaldsUK take away the Philly Cheese Stack at Christmas they’re going to ruin my whole festive season.”
While a second said: “Please don’t take the Philly Cheese Stack away from me… I’m not ready.”
Another posted: “Please make the Philly Cheese Stack a permanent burger, it’s the best!”
A fourth wrote: “Just had my last Philly Cheese Stack.
“Hope it returns soon as it’s proper yummy.”
While another said: “Please please please don’t get rid of the Philly Cheese Stack, of the Chilli Cheese bites.
“I would get a McDonalds waaaay more if this was always on offer.”
And a sixth posted: “PLEASE keep the Philly cheese stack! Best burger in years.”
Fans will be able to pick up the burger until Tuesday, after that the new winter menu is hitting restaurants.
You can find your closest McDonald’s using the restaurant locator tool on the website.
We tried the popular burger and were just as impressed as everyone else.
It’s not the first time fans have called on Maccies to make a special menu item permanent.
Back in August, diners begged for the chain to keep its Double Chocolate Pie.
In May diners were fuming that the garlic mayo and mega hot sauce dipping sauces were being axed after a limited stint.
It’s not just the Philly Cheese Stack exiting menus on from Wednesday.
The following are also being axed:
Philly Cheese Stack – £6.99
McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse – £7.39
Nine-piece Chicken McNuggets meal – medium £6.69, large £7.39
Chilli Cheese Bites – £2.49
Chilli Cheese Bites Sharebox – £6.79
Twix Toffee Apple McFlurry – £1.99 regular, £1.49 mini
M&M’s Halloween McFlurry – £1.99 regular, £1.49 mini
Toffee Apple Pie – £1.99

But it’s not all bad news because a range of additions coming, including two new burgers, McFlurrys and an all-new pie.
We got the chance to taste the new winter menu before anyone else and rounded up what we thought.
How do I find my nearest McDonald’s?

The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one – and check what time it opens.
Bear in mind that McDonald’s serves breakfast every day until 11am.
After that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.

There are plenty of ways you can save on your next trip to McDonald’s.
You should choose your branch wisely – menu prices can vary across different restaurants just a couple of miles apart.
We’ve seen Big Mac meals up to 30p cheaper before, which added up over the course of a year could save you a fair few pounds.
You can also get freebies on your birthday if you’ve got the My McDonald’s app.
Remember to log your date of birth on the app though, otherwise, you’ll miss out.
You can get a Big Mac and fries for just £1.99 as well if you fill out the quick feedback survey following your last visit.
All you’ll need is your receipt which should have been issued no more than 60 days after your visit.
A 12-digit code will be printed on the proof of purchase and then you can enter the McDonald’s Food for Thought website to fill out a quick survey.
