CHRIS HUGHTON is in contention to become Ghana’s next manager, according to reports.
The 64-year-old last managed Nottingham Forest and was sacked from that role in September 2021.

He joined Ghana as a technical advisor in February and worked alongside former boss Otto Addo at the World Cup.
Both Hughton and Addo left their roles following the Black Stars’ exit in the group stage.
But Hughton has now emerged as a candidate to take over as boss, report The Athletic.
The Ghana FA revealed there have been around 60 applicants for the job, none of whom are Ghanaian.
Hughton is believed to be keen on the role as he pursues a return to management.
He is also said to be open to a club job and was recently linked with the job at League Two Swindon Town.
Hughton has a wealth of managerial experience across the Premier League and Championship.
He has managed Newcastle, Birmingham, Norwich and Brighton and has two promotions to the top flight on his CV.

He also helped Ghana qualify for the World Cup after they beat rivals Nigeria in a two-legged play-off.
