Choc fans are going wild for fave Cadbury Christmas bar scanning for just 13p at Sainsbury’s

CHOCOLATE fans are going wild for a favourite Cadbury treat that’s been reduced to 13p after Christmas.

The chocolatier is brought back the much-loved chocolate snowballs before the festive season – but with a twist

Chocolate fans are going wild for Cadbury snow balls chocolate bars

The mini snow balls chocolate bar was a hit with fans as soon as it his supermarket shelves.

It is made from Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate with mini snowball pieces making it the perfect snack for winter movie nights.

The bar weighs 110g and can cost up to £1.50 – but prices may vary depending on where you shop.

But shoppers can not get the chocolate treat for just 13p at Sainsbury’s.

The bargain was posted on the Hotukdeals website and shoppers are thrilled.

Post on social media, one choc fan said: “These are lush.”

Another Facebook user said: “Omg this looks siiiiick.”

A third tagged their friend and wrote: “Stock up gal.”

Only available in stores, these simply cannot be missed – but customers are urged to be quick.

They seem to be selling fast and stock may vary from store to store.

This might mean it’s sensible to call ahead to your local shop before you head down, to avoid disappointment.

This is the cheapest we have seen festive chocolates so far this year.

Of course, the treats have been reduced by this much due to the festive season coming to an end.

We had a look but couldn’t find when the bar’s best before date is, so make sure you have a look before you buy.

As shops and supermarkets start to clear their excess stock other deals may pop up.

Make sure you compare prices across different chains.

You can do this by using the shopping feature on Google or Trolley.co.uk.

We had a look elsewhere to see what other offers are available this week.

Ocado shoppers can order the bars for 45p online, while Waitrose is selling them for 67p.

While these are cheaper than the full price of £1.50, Sainsbury’s has the best deal by far.

It’s important to note though that you might find individual offers in specific stores due to stock variation.

That’s why handy deal sites can also be a great way to keep on top of the best bargains.

Have a browse of Hot UK Deals or LatestDeals.co.uk for the most recent.

The news comes as many Christmas chocs cost at least 50% more than they did last year in some of the worst inflation across grocery items, research by Which? has found.

Despite supermarket food and drink inflation in general slowing to 8.3% in November, price rises on chocolate as a food category were almost twice as much at 15.3%, according to the watchdog.

This has been put down mainly to rising costs of key ingredients, like cocoa and sugar.

Supply issues and poor production have hit both of these in the last 12 months.

Among the treats affected are Quality Street, Matchmakers, Green & Blacks and Cadbury chocs.

It’s important to note that Which?’s research does not include loyalty prices or special offers though.

Elsewhere, is every Christmas chocolate dropped from Quality Street, Roses, Celebrations and Heroes selection boxes.

Plus, shoppers are flocking to stores to grab KitKat easter eggs which fans say has the “best” addition.
