Cheltenham Festival punter sitting on £47,000 goldmine thanks to genius bets

A CHELTENHAM Festival punter is sitting on a potential £47,000 goldmine thanks to his genius ante-post predictions.

He has staked just £17 in all on three separate bets.

The punter’s biggest payout rests on this giant four-fold which already includes one winner

The cash out on this treble is already massive

All three of these horses are now much shorter in the market and favourites for their races

But he could be celebrating a colossal payout should the horses he backed win next month.

The biggest of his bets includes recent King George winner Bravemansgame.

The punter backed him to win the Kempton Christmas showpiece at evens.

And he stuck it in a four fold with Gerri Colombe in the Brown Advisory, El Fabiolo in the Arkle and Brandy Love in the Mares’ Hurdle.

He backed those horses at 25-1, 6-1 and 5-1 respectively, staking a total of £7 to win £22,932.

Gerri Colombe is now 9-4 with the same bookie, while El Fabiolo is 5-4 and Brandy Love, who hasn’t run all season, is now 4-1.

Willie Mullins’ Irish Arkle winner El Fabiolo will turn out to be an absolutely crucial horse for the punter.

He has included him in his other bet that will bring a return in the thousands.

One treble includes El Fabiolo in the same race, Mighty Potter in the Turners at 12s and Lossiemouth in the Triumph at 10s.

While El Fabiolo has shortened massively, so have the other two.

Gordon Elliott’s novice chaser Mighty Potter is now 11-8 for the race and Lossiemouth 13-8 if taking the non-runner no bet option.

The punter staked a total of £12.46 on the treble, but £8 of that was bet credits, so just £4.46 was his own money.

The overall stake returns a healthy £12,464 – with the cash out offer already £565.37.

Rich Ricci’s star juvenile Lossiemouth also features in the bettor’s other treble, alongside Luccia and Mighty Potter again.

A £6 stake on those three returns £11,583.

But there is no way the punter will take the money and run early, after getting his fingers burned a few years back.

He cashed out a £10 stake for £200 – only to watch in agony as the final horse of his bet won.

It meant he missed out on a whopping £22,000 winner.

And, of course, there is a real chance not one of these horses could win come March.

But at least he did well to not include many people’s banker Allaho.

The dual Ryanair winner was yesterday ruled out of the race with an abdominal bleed.
