The Blues have joined Manchester United in the race to sign the 24-year-old.

United’s interest could depend on who wins the club’s ownership race, with a bombshell report claiming Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani has won the race to buy the club.

French Champions PSG will not allow their talisman to leave for free, with his decision to leave sparking a scramble to try and sign Mbappe.

According to The Times, if PSG are forced into a sale, they would hope to agree a deal which would allow them to keep him for another season.

Mbappe‘s PSG deal, reportedly worth more than £500MILLION, runs until 2024 and has an option to extend to 2025, which he revealed he would not be doing after sending the club a formal letter.

This means PSG will need to sell this summer in order to make some money back on the World Cup star.

Manchester City were another club who had a registered interest on Mbappe, but following the signing of Erling Haaland, it seems doubtful City would move for the former Monaco man.

Real Madrid would be the natural favourites to sign Mbappe this summer given his admission of being a supporter.

The case for Spanish giants has also been strengthened by the departure of Karim Benzema, who left Madrid for Al-Ittihad in the Middle East.

A recent report suggested Mbappe could join Erik ten Hag‘s side as a part of a sensational swap deal with Jadon Sancho.

Last season Mbappe scored 29 Ligue 1 goals and added a further seven in the Champions League and five in the French Cup.
