Chelsea owner Todd Boehly spends an HOUR in dressing room with Blues flops after rowing with fans during Brighton loss

CHELSEA owner Todd Boehly spent an hour in team’s dressing room following Saturday’s dismal defeat to Brighton.

The American watched from the stands as Frank Lampard’s men were torn apart by a brilliant Brighton side.

The Seagulls have now done the double over Chelsea, who raided them for Graham Potter and several coaches in September.

And Lampard’s return as interim boss has now yielded three defeats in as many matches.

The future certainly looks bleak for Chelsea, who also face the prospect of elimination in the Champions League.

But according to Spanish journalist Manu Sanchez, Boehly decided to get to grips with the situation by visiting the players’ dressing room straight after the final whistle.

What he said to his expensive squad or caretaker manager is unknown.

But Boehly, who was also joined by fellow owner Behdad Eghbali, spent an entire hour below deck before reemerging for a swift exit from Stamford Bridge.

His decision to enter the dressing room came after he was pictured rowing with Chelsea fans from the directors’ box.

Several supporters looked to be arguing with the billionaire as Chelsea surrendered their one-goal lead to lose 2-1.

But the result was just the start of their issues, with the manner of the defeat and Chelsea’s lack of game plan even more startling.

It now remains to be seen how the Blues finish the season, with Lampard seemingly deciding to sideline new faces like Noni Madueke and David Datro Fofana.

Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann are the favourites to take charge this summer.

And there is seemingly plenty of work to be done to get the squad in shape for the next gaffer.
