The thrilling clash will see Cole Palmer return to the Etihad for the first time since his exit last summer.
And both Arsenal and Liverpool fans will be praying Chelsea can take some points off Pep Guardiola’s title favourites again, having drawn the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge 4-4.
But regardless of the result, it’s set to turn into a torrid evening for Chelsea fans who took the train up north.
The Metropolitan Police’s Football Unit has revealed that the last train leaving Manchester Piccadilly for London Euston on Saturday night is set to be cancelled.
The 8.15pm Avanti West Coast service was the one and only option available for those needing to return to the capital after the match.
But supporters have been advised to make alternative plans, with many likely to be scrambling for late hotel bookings.
The MPS Football United on X wrote: “The 2015hrs Manchester Piccadilly to Euston train tomorrow is likely to be cancelled by @AvantiWestCoast, who have advised to travel via alternative means.
“This would have been the last train back to London for Chelsea supporters attending Man City.”

Fans were certainly left fuming at the late announcement, with the only train available back to Euston — via two changes — departing Manchester Piccadilly just minutes after the final whistle at the Etihad.
One said: “Any chance you can tell us what those alternative means are? Because there aren’t any.”
Another declared: “You couldn’t make this up.”
One noted: “What a shoddy rail service we have in this country.”
Another added: “So what are they meant to do now? Sleep in the station?”
