The Slovakian is considered one of the best central defenders in Serie A following his performances for Inter Milan.

However, he is now set on a move away from the San Siro as he rejected a new contract at the club, according to Calciomercato via Mundo Deportivo.

Inter are believed to be keen to keep hold of the 27-year-old after they resisted heavy interest from PSG to sell him last summer.

His current contract expires at the end of the season and the club and player are set to have a meeting on Friday to discuss terms again.

Inter are willing to double his salary to £5.3million-per-year.

And there has been pressure on him to sign a new contract from the club’s fans as the supporters have waved banners demanding that he “stay in Milan”.

As he is in the last six months of his deal then he is free to discuss a pre-contract agreement with other clubs.

And, as per the report, PSG has an offer of closer to £8m waiting for him.
