TESCO shoppers are raving about the store’s new take on a classic British treat.
They say the product has “changed the hot cross bun game” and call it “flipping amazing.”

Tesco have released a strawberries and clotted cream flavour bun with “rich white chocolate chips” – and cross bun connoisseurs can’t get enough.
“Yummy,” wrote one, “I need to try these,” wrote another.
A third said: “I’ll try these bad boys.”
But a fourth wasn’t a fan: “Just because its got the cross on don’t make it a hot cross bun.
“Stop messing with the originals and call them something else,” they said.
Announcing the new flavour a Facebook user wrote: “TESCO have changed the Hot Cross bun game lately!
“Especially with these! Strawberry, Clotted Cream and White chocolate flavour!”
“If I remember right these were £1.20 on the club card!”
They added that this isn’t the only variation of the classic hot cross bun to hit the shelves recently.
Sweet toothed customers are spoilt for choice with “flipping amazing” salted caramel, blueberry and lemon and white chocolate buns all on offer.
It comes as foodies race to M&S to try their new cheesy hot cross bun.
Marks & Spencer’s Extremely Cheesy buns are flying off the shelves – with some people calling them “the best thing I’ve ever tasted”.
The butter-enriched buns are made with cheddar and red Leicester cheeses and come in a pack of four for £2.
Gi took to TikTok to share a slideshow of pictures of the M&S food she would “sell her soul for”.
“These hot cross buns are the best thing I have ever tasted,” she wrote.
“They live rent free in my head all year round!”
