The 55-year-old Power of Love singer was diagnosed with the rare condition last year. Symptoms include extreme muscle stiffness, rigidity and painful body spasms.
“Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to,” the singer revealed in an Instagram video.

Claudette said the important thing is that Dion is able to rest, which is why she cancelled her world tour.
“She always goes above and beyond [when performing], she always tries to be the best and top of her game,” the star’s sister said. “At one point, your heart and your body are trying to tell you something. It’s important to listen to it.”

“I want you all to know, I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again,” she added.
Dion was set to take to the stage in Amsterdam in August to kick off the European tour, before finishing up in London in April 2024.
