CBS Sports host Kate Abdo was forced to apologise to AC Milan star Fikayo Tomori after Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards pronounced his name incorrectly.
The former Chelsea star appeared on CBS for a post-match interview after helping Milan qualify for the Champions League semi-final.
Thierry Henry gave Kate Abdo a wry smile after Micah Richards’ blunder
The pair started laughing as Richards and Jamie Carragher joked between themselves
Abdo quickly apologised for her colleagues’ mistakes
The centre-back, 25, started both games in the tie against Serie A leaders Napoli and helped secure a 2-1 win on aggregate.
But that did not stop Carragher and Richards from both committing a gaffe when trying to pronounce his first name, Fikayo.
The phonetic pronunciation of his name is Fuh-kay-ow, but Carragher appeared to combine both his first and last name by saying Fuh-kaw-ree.
And when Richards made the same faux pas moments later, he had fellow pundit Thierry Henry, who pronounced Tomori’s name correctly, in stitches.
He turned to Abdo laughing and the presenter seemed to have second-hand embarrassment for Richards.
She later apologised to Tomori for her colleagues’ blunder, as they were too busy laughing about Richards’ line of questioning to notice the mistake.
Abdo said: “We appreciate your time and we apologise for Micah and Jamie’s chronic mispronunciation of your name time and time again.”
Carragher reacted saying: “I was worried I was going to swear!”

Richards had cheekily asked Tomori who was the better defender out of him and pal Carragher, which the England international refused to answer.
Instead he pointed to former Chelsea captain John Terry as somebody he idolised, though his childhood hero is Henry.
