After days stuck in the desert, Casey Donovan has updated fans that she finally made it out of Burning Man festival.
The Australian singer was attending the iconic US festival when heavy rain trapped her and 70,000 other attendees at the campsite with no escape route.
“Not dead yet, made it out…,” she captioned a selfie on Instagram. “It’s been a year of a week haha.”

She’s not the only celebrity who was in attendance at Burning Man when the heavy rainstorm hit. DJ and producer Diplo hitchhiked out of the festival over the weekend, along with comedian and actor Chris Rock.
He shared a video to his Instagram story, claiming they had to walk through the mud for six miles before being picked up.

Donovan stayed at the campsite, though, finding shelter from the rain and eventually finding Wi-Fi to share an update to Instagram.

“Here’s a fabulous picture of a full rainbow putting on a show for some smiles in not such an ideal situation!,” she captioned a photo showing waterlogged and muddy tents.
“Good thing is, we are safe, we have food and “dryish” shelter,” she continued.
“It is very moist here and forecast is for more rain over the next few days… fingers and toes crossed for some sunshine to clear things up.”

The festival was held in a remote area of northwest Nevada, which was hit with heavy rainfall.
The dusty ground thickened into a clay-like mud, which made it impossible for festival-goers to drive on.
Attendees were told to shelter in place and to conserve supplies as officials were forced to halt any entering or leaving of the festival.
