Carrie Bickmore has shared her experience taking her daughter to see Taylor Swift live at the highly-anticipated Eras Tour in Melbourne.
As a special guest, Bickmore joined hosts Dave Hughes, Ed Kavalee and Erin Molan on the 2DAY FM’s Hughesy, Ed & Erin show.

Bickmore, her two kids, Fifi Box and her daughter all decided to go to the show together, revealing she slightly regrets bringing her five-year-old.
“I still haven’t worked out if it was a good idea or not. I’ll be honest, the youngest one didn’t last till the end. She slept on me for the last hour and a half.”
The radio star went on to add that despite her youngest falling asleep midway, the pure joy on the kids’ faces at the beginning was heartwarming.

“I just got swept up in it all and it was phenomenal… I was crying watching them and I’ve got all these videos of them singing every lyric of every song… it was awesome.”
Bickmore went on to praise the concert’s atmosphere. “Everybody was just so generous and friendly and excited, it was [a] really really lovely experience.”
When radio host Molan admitted she was unsure if she should take her five-and-a-half-year-old daughter to see Taylor Swift live, Bickmore had a simple recommendation.

She suggested taking her daughter with a friend, saying the girls energise each other and her experience will be less exciting without company.

Molan remained unsure, saying her previous attempts to take her daughter to events hadn’t gone to plan.
Providing lots of hilarious examples, Molan explained the time she’d tried to take her daughter to a Sam Smith concert, revealing: “She lasted about seven seconds before she started to cry and scream and wanted me to take her away.”
