The former super-middleweight world champion was a guest on Simon Jordan’s podcast.
And Jordan urged Froch not to “kill his legacy” by coming back to fight the polarising Paul.
But he responded: “I don’t know would it kill my legacy, or would I be the hero? Would I be the hero that stopped all the hype around Jake Paul?
“I don’t mind Jake Paul doing what he’s doing and having a go, and he’s getting in the ring, the same as white-collar fighters.
“I don’t mind them – they’re brave. They’re getting in there [acnd] taking punches in the face, and he’s done it.”
Froch, now 45, retired in 2014 after knocking out George Groves in front of 80,000 fans in their Wembley rematch.
Meanwhile Paul, 26, returns on August 5 in Texas against ex-UFC star Nate Diaz, 38.
It follows after his first career loss in February, losing a split-decision to Tommy Fury, 24, in a result criticised by Froch.

He told OLBG: “I would always be interested in fighting someone who can’t fight like Jake Paul.
“It’s like someone giving you a suitcase full of money – you won’t say no. I would train for it, I stay in the gym anyway and keep myself in good shape.
“Right now I am 45 and I retired at 36-37. There is a reason that I retired as after a certain age, the weight cut becomes way too difficult.
“I wouldn’t make the weight for Jake Paul – I would be 14 stone.
“If a fight was on the cards – which it isn’t because Paul realised he can’t fight after losing to Tommy Fury and he wasn’t even British level at the time, then I would fight him because like I said before it is easy money.”
