Cameron Diaz said to be ‘shocked, saddened’ over Jamie Foxx’s health battles

Cameron Diaz is said to be “shocked and saddened” over co-star Jamie Foxx’s April health scare.

The two actors were working on Back in Action, an upcoming action comedy movie for Netflix, which began filming in December 2022.

Foxx, 56, suffered an unspecified “medical complication” in April, though his rep has since denied the complication came from a COVID vaccine.

Mike Tyson claimed the actor had a stroke, news that hasn’t been verified by any of Foxx’s reps, although his family have been spotted outside of a physical rehab centre in Chicago.

In March 2023, Foxx made headlines for an alleged on-set meltdown that resulted in him firing four crew members after being unhappy with production.

Reports then surfaced that Diaz, 50, planned to retire for from acting for good after filming on Back in Action concluded.

She made headlines in 2022 when she signed onto the movie, after taking a break from acting in 2014 to focus on her family and start her wine company Avaline.

Foxx and Diaz have previously starred together in both 2014’s Annie and 1999’s Any Given Sunday.

It was reported Diaz wanted to be “supportive and help out in any way” after Foxx’s health issue, but his family has kept his status very quiet.

His daughter Corinne, 29, shared at the time of the health scare that Foxx was “on his way to recovery” due to “quick action and great care”.

On May 3, Foxx posted on his Instagram page saying that he appreciated “all the love” and was “feeling blessed”.

On Sunday, former costar Porscha Coleman told Entertainment Tonight at the 2023 BET Awards that people close to the actor confirmed he’s “doing well”.

“He’s resting, he’s well. He’s going to be back,” she said.

As for Diaz, a source told People on Tuesday that the filming schedule for Netflix’s Back in Action was “so intense and gruelling”, the actress was glad to have wrapped things up.

She is now said to be enjoying a relaxed summer with her family, including husband Benji Madden and their three-year-old daughter Raddix.
