TWO airports in the UK have been affected by a budget airline scrapping flights ahead of this summer.
A number of routes have been suspended by Wizz Air due to what they describe as reduced demand.

Included in those routes are flights to both Birmingham and Liverpool.
The airline will no longer operate flights from Cluj-Napoca in Romania to the two UK cities.
The unofficial Transylvanian capital used to have Wizz Air connections to both but will no longer do so after March 27.
That is when the flights to and from Birmingham will be scrapped.
Meanwhile, the route between Cluj-Napoca and Liverpool was previously suspended and the airline has now announced that it will not resume.
Travel Wires report that these flights, as well as loads of others across Europe, will be stopped “as a result of reduced demand for certain destinations and changes in the travel market”.
Other affected routes include Paris, Prague, Berlin and Barcelona among a number of other popular European destinations.
There are plenty of places throughout the UK that are getting new flights this year, however.
A lesser-known airline is among those jetting off to and from the UK, with hundreds of new flights planned between the UK and Turkey for this summer.
Turkey
Corendon Airlines’ new services will be added from several UK airports to Turkey’s Dalaman and Antalya regions.
Their flights are set to connect the two regions with London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Bristol and Glasgow.
Spain, Portugal, Greece and Malta
Other holiday destinations like Spain, Portugal and Greece are also due to get new flights for this summer from the UK.
Jet2 has announced hundreds of new flights from Liverpool airport, starting at the end of next month.
From March 28, the airline will fly to Madeira in Portugal, Gran Canaria and Menorca in Spain, Rhodes, Zante and Paphos in Greece and Bourgas, Bulgaria.
New flights between Spain and Portugal will also be on offer with Ryanair, with added routes to Norwich airport.
The budget airline will begin flying to the three new destinations of Alicante, Faro and Malta from April 1, running on both Mondays and Fridays.
Morocco
Meanwhile, British Airways is also launching new flights from the UK, heading a little further afield to Morocco.
The UK’s flagship carrier will be flying new London Gatwick routes to Agadir in Morocco.
Those flights will start from March 2024.
Additionally. BA will also have new flights to Abu Dhabi from London Heathrow from April this year.
Meanwhile, this airline has scrapped popular UK flights to Liverpool from this year.
And these are the two sneaky ways to avoid flight cancellation chaos.
