Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis and ex-wife Demi Moore celebrate star with moving tributes

Bruce Willis, the ultimate girl dad to five daughters, is being celebrated by wife Emma Heming Willis and Demi Moore, who shared moving Father’s Day tributes to the actor overnight.

“Father’s Day is a time I get to reflect on my deep appreciation and respect I have for Bruce as I watch him father our little ones,” Heming Willis, 45, captioned a post on her verified Instagram page that showcased a sweet photo of Willis, 68, snuggled up to their 11-year-old daughter Mabel.

“What he’s teaching them will span generations. Unconditional love, kindness, strength, compassion, patience, generosity, resilience,” Heming Willis added.

The Die Hard actor and Heming Willis wed in 2009 and share two daughters, Mabel and nine-year-old Evelyn. In the United States, Father’s Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in June, while in Australia, it’s the first Sunday in September.

Actor Demi Moore, 60, who was married to Willis for 13 years before they split up in 2000, also shared a tribute to him on her Instagram page overnight that featured a black-and-white photo of Willis with their three daughters, Rumer Willis, 34, Scout Willis, 31, and Tallulah Willis, 29.

“Forever grateful to you BW for giving me these three beautiful girls. We love our #girldad. Happy Father’s Day!” Moore said in the caption.

The Father’s Day tributes are particularly poignant as Willis and his family continue to cope with his ongoing health challenges.

Last year, the Willis family announced the actor was stepping away from acting because he had been diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that can hinder ability to communicate, according to the Mayo Clinic.

In February, his family shared in a statement that Willis is living with frontotemporal dementia, which is an “umbrella term for a group of brain disorders that primarily affect the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain.”

Since Willis’s diagnosis, Heming Willis has regularly shared health updates along with anecdotes from her experience as his primary caretaker.

“Happy Father’s Day to the greatest dad I know,” Heming Willis said in her post, concluding that Willis “will forever be the gift that keeps giving within our family.”

“His love feels like the warmest coziest blanket,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Once you’re wrapped in it, you never want to get out.”

June 18 also marked Heming Willis’ birthday, an occasion she celebrated by sharing a series of snaps with her daughters and loved ones, including Willis, and a wider call to action for those who have a caregiver in their lives.

“Hi! 👋🏽 It’s my birthday and I’ve had an epic week getting to celebrate with some of my beloved family and friends. I’m making a few BIG birthday wishes!”, Heming Willis wrote on Instagram.

“This one I hope you could make a reality 🙏🏽 Text or call a person in your life that’s a caregiver and let them know here is X, Y, or Z I can do to help you this week,” she continued.

“If the caregiver says, ‘I’m fine, I don’t need anything,’ which most likely is what they just might say, then drop some food at their doorstep or flowers or a small something and text them after to let them know it’s there.

She concluded: “Or honestly, just tell them thank you and that they are doing a great job. That kindness and support will go such a long long way. 🥰”

Moore, meanwhile, also shared a tribute to Heming Willis for her birthday, writing on her Instagram Story: “Happy birthday [Heming Willis]! Love you and so grateful for our blended family ❤️”
